The need
For many children, English is a locked door.
In under-resourced schools, English may appear on a timetable, but the real experience can be very different: one old book shared by many students, little chance to hear the language spoken, and no teacher with enough time or support to build confidence.
When a child cannot read even a simple English picture book, whole parts of the world stay out of reach: science words, maps, websites, stories, scholarships, and the quiet belief that life can be bigger than the place where they were born.
A first English lesson is not just vocabulary. It is a first bridge to another library, another conversation, another way of imagining the future.
Our program
Free foundational English for children who would otherwise be left out.
Donations support beginner-level instruction, reading practice, and learning materials for students in communities where families cannot afford private English education.
Teach the first usable words
Students build basic listening, speaking, and picture-book reading skills through patient beginner lessons designed for children with little or no English foundation.
Open a wider world
The goal is simple and human: help a child understand a first English book, ask a first question, and begin to see beyond a closed local environment.
Partnership and accountability
Donor dollars become free classes.
English to the World Foundation works with U.S.-based private school partner Blair Academy to help provide free beginning English instruction after donations are received.
The Foundation holds U.S. 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. Corporate and individual gifts may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and donation receipts are provided for eligible contributions.

Why it matters
A child cannot dream in a language no one has ever helped them enter.
English access is not about replacing a child's culture. It is about adding a key: a way to read, compare, ask, search, apply, and belong in conversations that shape the modern world.
